This mattress is rated Semi Plush. We named it The Malibu in honor of that beautiful part of the California coast. Just as you want to return to the Malibu quality of life, this organic innerspring mattress will make you want to come back, giving you a soft night’s sleep to look forward to every day.
The Malibu contains the finest Long Staple Organic Cotton grown in California and Texas. By blending the longer cotton fibers to make layers for the mattresses, we ensure you will have a consistent, smooth, supportive sleeping surface. The 100% Certified Organic Cotton ticking is from Peru and the USA.
The untreated Lamb’s Wool is from France, where the sheep live in wide open spaces, rather than being cooped up in small pens. After shearing, the wool is cleaned in a soap-based, chemical-free solution that preserves the natural lanolin – an organic dust mite repellent. The Lamb's Wool provides a comforting quilted natural fiber layer underneath the cotton mattress covering.
The Royal-Flex® 630i Innerspring System was designed in Switzerland, and contains double the number of coils over the industry standard. The open-ended, unknotted, six-turn coils provide greater flexibility, greater sensitivity to body contours, and better overall body support for total relaxation. T-Spring side supports around the perimeter of the spring system provide edge firmness.
To top it all off, we added a custom-made 3-inch Natural Rubber pillow top of premium Natural Dunlop Latex, with a layer of organic French Lamb’s Wool under 100% Organic Cotton ticking.

This custom built 3.5" Organic Pillowtop Pad provides extra cushioning, luxurious comfort, and additional pressure point relief to hips and shoulders for the ultimate in rest and relaxation. The organic pillowtop pad lays right on top of the mattress. Then the mattress pad and fitted sheet go over both the pillowtop pad and the mattress itself holding the pad in place. In addition, this pillowtop pad is quite substantial in weight, and the mattress and pillowtop pad coverings are organic cotton on organic cotton, rather than a slippery polyester fabric to prevent the pillowtop pad from slipping around. This version of our R-P Natural Organic Mattress includes our chemical free, French Wool wrap and layering of organic cotton. The French Wool is directly underneath the covering to provide a natural fire barrier to the inner organic cotton layers to pass the Federal laws. It is our most popular hand tufted organic innerspring mattress construction, and offers firm, orthopedic support.
Since we got into selling innerspring mattresses, we have gone thru alot of them. In our search for the ultimate one, we came across this one.The Malibu runs semi plush.
Overall mattress height to the floor is approximately 23” with our 8½” mattress. 7¾” thick box spring, and 7" metal frame. (The Optional pillowtop pad will increase overall height by 3.5 inches).
Doctor’s note from an M.D. or D.C. is not required for this organic model because it contains our French Wool Wrap, which naturally provides a fire barrier to pass Federal standards.
The R-P Natural Organic Cotton w/Wool Wrap Mattress features our double heat tempered, Royal-Flex® 630i Innerspring System designed in Switzerland. The innerspring unit contains approximately 68% more coils compared to the industry standard. The coils in the mattress are open ended, unknotted, six turn coils providing more flexibility, which means greater sensitivity to body contours,enhansed comfort,and overall body support and relaxation.
Royal-Pedic does not hand tie their box springs. This method of holding the coils in place with cording can result in a lumpy mattress. The cording can and does stretch, which forces the coil out of position on an angle. In addition, many workers who hand tie box springs end up with carpal tunnel and arthritis in their hands. Instead of hand tied box springs, Royal-Pedic uses a wire system called the Webster Lock Grid System to keep the coils in place. Steel wire is woven throughout the tops of the coils to secure the coil in place to eliminate the possibility of any lateral movement.
T-Spring Side Supports are installed around the perimeter of the spring system to provide edge firmness and support.

Our skilled craftsmen hand layer the organic staple cotton padding on each side of the innerspring unit to ensure a consistent, supportive sleeping surface. Over 50 pounds of pre-compressed organic staple cotton go into making a king size R-P Natural Organic Cotton w/Wool Wrap Mattress! No polyurethane foam padding is in the mattress, so you have lasting support for your body and a healthier sleeping environment.
The layers of organic cotton padding are supported by our heavy duty, 10oz. 100% organic cotton canvas fabric to prevent the cotton from pocketing into the coils. In comparison, many brands of mattresses use a support pad that is comprised of ground up scraps of various synthetic scraps of materials that are glued to a nylon webbed backing.
The layers of organic cotton are surrounded by layering of our chemical free French Wool directly underneath the organic cotton covering to provide a naturally resistant fire barrier to meet Federal and State codes without the use of toxic chemicals. The French wool also provides resistance to dust mites, dissipates moisture, and helps keep mattress surface temperature comfortable with its natural temperature stabilizing properties.
The inner organic cotton padding is encased in our 100% organic cotton ticking woven in the U.S. and Peru, which ventilates body heat, is free of chemicals, and is durable. In contrast, most brands of mattresses use shiny polyester fabrics that contain chemical flame retardant.
The mattress is hand tufted the old fashioned way with European tufting straps to further pre-compress the organic cotton padding for orthopedic back support. We do not use buttons to tuft our mattresses because buttons have a tendency to turn on their side creating an uncomfortable sleeping surface.
The lamb's wool provides a comforting natural fiber layer quilted underneath the cotton mattress covering. The lamb's wool contains lanolin -- a natural dust-mite repellent. The sheep live in wide open spaces, rather than being cooped up in a small space. The wool is cleaned in a soap-based, chemical free solution.

ROYAL-PEDIC'S EXCHANGE POLICY ON ORGANIC MATTRESSES
There is no Exchange policy or comfort exchange on pillowtop pads purchased separately, or items which we consider to be special order: adjustable beds, organic mattresses and pillowtop pads, custom sizes and custom thickness mattress and box springs, special firmness mattresses, and eight-way hand-tied box springs.We cannot refund the purchase price of your mattress( or set). According to Federal law of The United States,it is not resalable. It will be destroyed and used for fire testing
Mattress, Box Spring, and Pillowtop Pad Non-Prorated Limited Warranty and Care Instructions
Royal-Pedic Mattress Manufacturing, LLC warranties its mattresses and box springs to the original consumer purchaser for a non pro-rated period of ten years from the date of purchase against material defects and workmanship. Pillowtop pads are warranted for a non pro-rated period of 5 years.
At Royal-Pedic's option, the warranted item will be repaired or replaced. Royal-Pedic reserves the right to substitute material of equal quality. Repair or replacement does not extend the original period of limited warranty, nor does it constitute the beginning of a new limited warranty period. All transportation charges and packaging are the responsibility of the consumer.When a mattress is ordered from The Organic Mattress Store, we hire a shipping company of our choise to bring product to your door. It is out of our hands at that point what day your mattress can be delivered.Usually a few days before the mattress gets into your area the shipping company will contact you to arrange a time and day to deliver the product.It is not the responsibility of The Organic Mattress Store to set specific time or days for any customer to have there product delivered, but the business of the shipper.If problems arise in the shipping process The Organic Mattress Store will intervene to help get it resolved. The Organic Mattress Store is not responsible for any extra fees incured from the shipper to the customer due to miscommunication of shipping days, customers not being home, etc which can relate into storage fees, and extra fees for second trips out to customers houses to deliver the product.
Freight Damage:
If the freight arrives and the contents are visibly damaged, refuse the order and contact The Organic Mattress Store at 1-484-851-3636 so we can get a replacement mattress made and sent out as soon as possible. If you accept the freight and sign off on the freight bill presented by the delivery person, you are considered to have accepted the product in good condition, and cannot request a replacement mattress if you see damage later. Any damage claims after acceptance of the shipment will not be honored because the freight companies will not take responsibility for product in a customer's home after it has been delivered, inspected, installed, and signed off by the customer which releases the freight company from any further liability .What we recommend is to write "SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" on the receipt you sign for the package, so if you do notice damage to the product after the delivery people leave you can contact us and we will work with you and the shipper and manufacturer to get your product replaced.
For easy identification, do not remove the white law labels or the product name labels.
Warranty Excludes:
- Mattress(s) purchased without the appropriate matching new box spring when said mattress is used on another box spring that the customer may already have." Firmness preference of the mattress.
- Normal body impressions of up to 2" in the padding material.
- Handles or grommets pulling out. Handles are meant to minimally assist in positioning the mattress on the box spring. Pulling too hard on the handles can cause the border fabric to tear, as well as damage the spring unit.
- Mattresses and/or box springs that are sold "as-is" or "floor models" older than one year from original ship date.
Warranty will be voided for obvious abuse, support, or improper care/maintenance:
- Improper center support. Queen or king size mattresses and box springs must be supported by a sturdy center rail that will prevent the mattress from caving in.
- Inadequate turning of the mattress. According to the mattress industry, for optimum comfort and mattress life span the mattress should be rotated either head to foot, or turned over once a month.
- Broken box spring bases or bent mattress innerspring border wires, folding the innerspring mattress in half, or even significantly bending it can damage the mattress beyond repair. Movers are notorious for bending mattresses in half. Remind movers to be very careful not to bend your mattress more than just a little.
- Burns, soils, or stains. We cannot repair a mattress if it is returned in unsanitary condition.
- Excessive body weight.
